My Five Kings Series

Angel.jpg

Book One: Angel

I don’t know who I am or where I came from.
The only thing I do know is that I’m running from something.
And there’s a voice inside my head that guides my every move…

When I’m taken prisoner to be thrust into a lifetime of prostitution, I learn I’m an angel. Yes, I bear the markings on my back: markings that reveal my wings have been removed. But when my only ally, a foul-mouthed sprite, insists my wings are intact, I realize the danger I’m facing.

I need protection. And that protection can only come from three magically powerful men who were destined to protect the balance between shadow and light:

Dragan, a gargoyle and the King of Shadow;
Cambion, an elf and the King of Nature;
and Baron, a vampire and the King of Death.

At one time there were four but Variant, the King of Light, grew greedy and usurped control for himself. He banished Cambion to the fae realm and Dragan to the shadow realm. And he murdered Baron.

And now Variant is after me.

Book Two: Dragan

I thought I was a pure-bred angel, but I soon find out I’m so much more…

When huge, black, rubbery wings shoot out of my back, I learn I’m part Succubus, part demon.

Even with this epiphany, I’m still no closer to understanding who I am, where I came from, or why I’m missing my memories.

Worst of all, the one person I trusted above all others, Dragan, the King of Shadow, turned on me. You’d think the fact that we both possess shadow magic would bring us closer, but it doesn’t.

Learning I’m a crossbreed, Dragan shuns me. Where once we shared passionate embraces, now he’s coldly suspicious and distant. And the King of Nature, Cambion, treats me even worse, rebuking me with expressions of disgust and rude comments.

Strangely, Baron, the King of Death, is the only one who accepts what I am. He says it’s because we are one and the same—the shadow magic that animates him, also animates me.

Good thing I have an ally in Baron because I’m stranded in an unfriendly world I know little about. Everywhere I turn, enemies are after me, eager to return me to the King of Angels, Variant, who wants me dead.

With the way things are going, I wonder if Dragan and Cambion still believe I’m the answer to defeating Variant or maybe they’re more inclined to deliver me to my fate at Variant’s hands…

Book Three: Baron

After being taken prisoner by the false king, I learn Variant is nothing like I imagined him to be…

His hair is as fair as the curtains that drop from the ceilings. Darker than mine by merely a shade or two. The golden hue of his skin contrasts sharply with his white robe and captivating green eyes. Lush lips and slender brows complement the regality of his features.

“Angel,” he says as huge, white feathered wings unfurl from his back, arching out ten feet in each direction. I feel my eyes widen as I take in their incredible beauty. He flaps them a few times and the wind carries across my face, bringing with it the clean yet woodsy scent of the man, himself.

Variant is far more beautiful than any male or female has the right to be. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to kill me..

And kill me he will. After all, Variant destroyed all the angels before me, so why should I be any different? Worse still, what will he do when he finds out I’m half Succubus?

The more time I spend with Variant, the more I realize the false king is as complicated as he is unpredictable. And though I hate to admit it, the Succubus within me wants him. Maybe almost as much as Variant appears to want me.

If Dragan, Cambion and Baron knew the thoughts going through my head and the feelings Variant causes within my body, they would despise me. Almost as much as I despise myself.

When Dragan finds a way out of the prison dungeon and the five of us escape, we’ll learn a secret even more surprising than the fact that Variant keeps me alive…

Book Four: Cambion

Darkness is winning. I can feel my control slipping away. Little by little, my angel lightness is dying and the succubus is taking over…

And my companions realize it as well—my white hair and blue eyes are turning black.

Even though I love Dragan and Baron, I need Cambion’s light in order to balance the darkness within me.
But, Cambion hates me and always has. Yet, he’s the only creature of the light strong enough to survive my feeding from him.

Well, there is one more who could survive it… Variant. But Variant is under the control of a powerful entity who plays him like a puppet. That means, Variant still wants me dead…

To make matters worse, Morrigan, The Midnight Queen, doesn’t appear to be the savior we thought her to be. And when Cambion’s brother, Theren, brings his Unseelie army into the sanctity of The Veil, all hell will break loose.

Literally.

Book Five: Variant

The Midnight Queen and Variant continue to threaten us.

And now we know they’ve been sacrificing the fae in order to increase the Midnight Queen’s power…

Dragan and Baron are at each other’s throats.

Cambion turned on us and is imprisoned by his brother.

Theren is still under the power of the Midnight Queen, as is Variant.

And fae creatures are being sacrificed for their life essence.

Everything is falling apart and the end is looming.

The darkness within me continues to take its toll on the angelic side of me and I can feel the lightness within me dying.

But the only thing that matters at the moment is freeing the fae from Variant and Morrigan.

But that’s a tall order…

Book Six: Theren

The Midnight Queen is no longer our only threat. Abedon, a god, threatens to awaken and if he does, he could destroy everything we’ve worked so hard for…

Theren is now able to see the light, but that doesn’t mean the others are ready to accept him.
And Variant is still under the power of the Midnight Queen.
But nothing is as threatening as the fact that Abedon could soon take control.

Now that my memories have been returned to me, I know who and what I am.

I’m the leader of the Vindication—a group of rebels who fight against Variant and the Midnight Queen.

Even as I fight to keep the peace between my harem of men, and I fight to protect my people, there’s a looming threat that could wipe us all out…
