Q: When will your next books be released?

A: A Jolie Novella will be released courtesy of Bantam in December, 2011. The next Jolie book, Witchful Thinking, will be released February 28, 2012 and the other two soon after!

Q: Is the next Jolie book titled Be Witched or Witchful Thinking?

A: The title of the third Jolie book was changed from Be Witched to Witchful Thinking so if you pre-order it, you'll only be able to pre-order Witchful Thinking since Be Witched is no longer the title.

Q: Are Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble and To Kill A Warlock standalones or the first books in series?

A: Each book is the first book in a series

Q: Is Warlock the follow up book to Fire Burn?

A: No, each book is completely unrelated. Each one has different characters in different situations.

Q: Are you Jolie?

A: No.

Q: How many books will be in each series?

A: For Dulcie, I'm not sure. For Jolie, it looks like 5 so far...

Q: Why did you write the start to two books instead of writing a follow up book to one series?

A: Well, at the time I was finishing Fire Burn, I had an agent in New York who advised me to start a new book (Warlock) in case Fire Burn didn’t sell. Hence, the two starts to two series.

Q: What is an indie author?

A: An indie author is essentially a self published author.

Q: Did you design your covers and your website?

A: Yes and no. I did the design in as much as the layout, fonts and text are concerned but the images are stock. I just added them to the Halloweeny backgrounds and then added the text, etc. I did design this website.

Q: Do you write full time?

A: Yes, I am now a full time author!

Q: Where did the title Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble come from?

A: Glad you asked. It’s from Macbeth when the three witches are chanting over the cauldron. The entirety of the quote is:

“Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.”

Q: Where did the title To Kill A Warlock come from?

A: I was an English major in college so I’m always trying to sneak in literary references. To Kill A Warlock is a play on To Kill A Mockingbird.

Q: Why does it take you so darn long to write a book?

A: Well, I want the writing in my books to be quality so my process is pretty time consuming. First, I write the bare bones of a chapter. Then I go back and add the details and make it halfway decent. Then I read it again and do the same thing. Then I send it to my editor and get her feedback. Then I send it to my critique partner and get her feedback. Then I print it out and read it line by line with a pencil to make any final changes. Then once I’m happy with the first half of the book, I send it to three of my betareaders who tell me if there are any issues they can see. Then after making any of their changes, I publish it!

Q: I don’t have an ereader, are your books available in hard copy format?

A: YES! Yay, my books are now available in print format from Amazon. You can find them here:
