Adventures of H.P. Mallory

I currently live in the United Kingdom even though I'm originally from sunny
Southern California. In January 2008 I moved to Cambridge, England (definite
climate change!) and nowI live in Edinburgh, Scotland, where my husband is
undertaking his MBA at the University of Edinburgh. I'm very proud of him!

A little about me: I've been obsessed with the paranormal ever since I was a kid--
ghosts were always my favorite and I think I've read every ghost book ever written.
Then I found paranormal romance novels and urban fantasy books and it was a match made in heaven. Being an English major, it was just a natural progression that I decided
to try my hand at writing a paranormal romance which really became an urban fantasy novel--Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble. I'm really proud of this book and Jolie Wilkins,
the heroine, has a special place in my heart. Read the first chapter here.

I've just finished my second urban fantasy book, To Kill A Warlock, the story of Dulcie O'Neil, a spitfire fairy who acts as cop for the Netherworld. Read the first chapter here.

third urban fantasy book which I hope to finish within the next six months or so.

My interests are varied but aside from writing, I'm most excited about traveling. Uncovering new places and learning about different cultures is one of my foremost
hobbies (if you can consider that a hobby!). I've traveled all over the United States as
well as Europe, the UK and the Caribbean. View some of my favorite photos.

Other things: I'm married without children. I was an English major and graduated
from UCLA. I did my master's in Communications at USC and everyone always asks:
are you a Bruin or Trojan? I can't really make up my mind. I'm not much of a sports
enthusiast--that's usually my response.

I spend my days writing, but I do actually have a day job--I'm an internet marketing consultant which means I'm basically a computer nerd. I also design websites.
This is the most creative and fun website I've ever worked on--just coincidental
it's mine...
