October 2nd, 2008: Nostalgia
I mentioned that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, might even be neck
and neck with Christmas. I was trying to get myself into the Halloween mood up
here in Edinburgh and was thinking about why this season is so magical for me.
I think it is started when I was a kid and my mom loved holidays as much as I do
now. She would decorate our house with all sorts of Halloween things and every year we'd watch the Great Pumpkin, Disney's Sleepy Hollow and Garfield's Halloween Adventure. And with trick or treating and Halloween parties, Halloween really is
a kid's dream holiday. It's fun but still has that level of scary to it. I'm hoping I'll get some trick or treaters up here in Edinburgh but we'll have to see.
October 1st, 2008: Hello October!
So today is the start of one of my favorite months! Halloween has to be my second favorite holiday, next to Christmas. In Edinburgh, the air is already getting that
cold and crisp quality to it and some of the leaves are taking on a yellow-orangy
color. I love Autumn!
So, on another note, I finished my changes for my second book, To Kill A Warlock,
and I'm sending them out to Rachel today. Hopefully she'll like them. I started
taking a writing class to fuel my imagination and I want to really throw myself into writing my third book which I think I'm going to title Better Off Dead. Not sure yet
on that one.
